PETALUMA, CA (August 9, 2023) – Monday night, authorities arrested Douglas Green after an alarming DUI crash on Petaluma Boulevard and Stony Point Road.

The incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. in the area of Stony Point Road and Petaluma Boulevard North.

When the authorities arrived, they found the 70-year-old suspect, Green from Petaluma, on the westbound lane of Petaluma Boulevard North before he took a right turn to travel northbound on Stony Point Road.

Then, Green made a wide turn and drove across the southbound lanes of Stony Point Road. Eventually, he crashed head-on with another motorist.

As a result, the other driver suffered injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Officers confirmed that Green showed signs of intoxication. Also, they found out that his driver’s license was suspended as a result of a prior DUI.

Thus, they booked the suspect into the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.
