Douglas Binninger Dies in Multi-Car Crash Near Mountain View Road and 20th Avenue

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (April 17, 2019) – A 64-year-old man died in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon near Mountain View Road and 20th Avenue.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified 64-year-old Douglas Binninger as the man who perished in the 2:19 p.m. accident.
 
According to reports, one person sustained major injuries while two others suffered minor injuries. Shortly after, paramedics transported all three patients to an area hospital for treatment.
 
Crews closed off Mountain View Road between Clubhouse Drive and Dillon Road for several hours due to investigations.
 
At this time, California Highway Patrol is unsure what factors played a role in the accident. However, an ongoing investigation continues.
