Morning 2-Car Crash on Roscoe Boulevard Kills 1 and Leaves Another in Critical Condition
VAN NUYS, CA (November 7, 2019) – A woman was killed following a two-car crash Thursday morning in Van Nuys, authorities said.
The crash happened around 7:10 a.m. in the 16400 block of Roscoe Boulevard near Hayvenhurst Avenue.
According to CHP reports, a white Tesla and another white sedan collided for unknown reasons. Firefighters arrived and extricated two patients from one of the cars.
A female occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities later identified her as Dorothy Ruth Osman, 75, of Northridge.
A second victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Both cars sustained major front-end damage and were towed away from the crash site.
An investigation is ongoing to determine who was at fault and to gather all the factors involved.
