2 People Hospitalized in Sonora Vehicle Crash on Shaws Flat Road and Highway 49
SONORA, CA (April 19, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, Donald Nute and Gary McIntosh sustained injuries in a startling two-vehicle accident on Shaws Flat Road.
The incident happened at around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Shaws Flat Road and Highway 49.
According to reports, a 2006 Toyota Tundra pickup struck a southbound 2021 Chevy Silverado truck. Authorities confirmed that the Silverado truck drove in the path of the Toyota truck for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, responders transported the Chevy driver, 53-year-old Nute, and the Toyota driver, 66-year-old Gary McIntosh, to a local hospital with minor injuries.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
