Car Crashes into Tree on Highway 28 in Dollar Point Sending 3 People to Hospital

 
DOLLAR POINT, CA (December 27, 2018) – Three people were hospitalized following a traffic collision Thursday evening in Dollar Point.
 
The collision happened around 9:07 p.m. on Highway 28 at Lake Forest Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle carrying three people had crashed into a tree. The impact injured all three occupants.
 
The female driver suffered a major head trauma and was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center. The two passengers, a man with lacerations to the right leg and a woman who complained of chest pain, were transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital.
 
It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
