Jay Clark Dies, Dixie Basel Airlifted on State Route 12 Vehicle Crash

 
Lowden, WA (January 28, 2021) – On Tuesday, Dixie Basel, 69, of Walla Walla sustained injuries in a fatal crash on State Route 12.
 
Apparently, 68-year-old Jay Clark of Chelan was driving a pick-up truck, traveling eastbound several miles west of Touchet.
 
Then suddenly, the vehicle swerved into the oncoming lanes and crashed head-on with another vehicle.
 
Unfortunately, authorities pronounced Clark dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, responders airlifted Basel, the other vehicle’s driver to Providence St. Mary’s Medical Center.
 
Police said both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Also, alcohol or drugs are not considered a factor in the accident.
 
Furthermore, WSP continues to investigate the Lowden crash.
