1 Person Hospitalized in Hollywood Auto Accident on 101 Freeway near Sunset Boulevard

HOLLYWOOD, CA (December 12, 2023) – Monday morning, a disastrous wrong-way crash on 101 Freeway near Sunset Boulevard injured one person.

The incident happened at around 1:59 a.m. on the southbound Hollywood 101 Freeway, near the Sunset Boulevard off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound vehicle traveling on the southbound lanes caused the multi-vehicle crash.

Moreover, responders transported one person to a hospital with critical injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed the southbound 101 Freeway, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
