6 People Hurt in Lucerne Valley Auto Accident on State Route 247 and Lincoln Road

LUCERNE VALLEY, CA (August 21, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, authorities reported injuries in a disastrous rollover crash on State Route 247 and Lincoln Road.

The incident happened at around 1:43 p.m. on State Route 247 and Lincoln Road, near Old Woman Springs Road.

According to reports, a black Chevy Traverse overturned multiple times for still unknown reasons. Then, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a chain link perimeter fence.

Moreover, responders transported one juvenile to High Desert Hospital and two other juveniles to Palm Springs Hospital, all with critical injuries. Also, paramedics transported three adults to a hospital with minor injuries.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the California Highway Patrol continued to investigate the crash.
