Injuries Reported in Abilene Pedestrian Accident on Shirley Road and Interstate 20
ABILENE, TX (February 1, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a construction worker suffered injuries in a disastrous hit-and-run crash on Shirley Road and Interstate 20.
The crash happened just before 11:00 a.m. on Shirley Road and Interstate 20 East in Abilene.
According to reports, as the 55-year-old man worked on Shirley Road, an orange pickup truck hit him.
However, the pickup truck driver remained at large but is facing charges including failure to stop and render aid, as well as felony hit-and-run.
Meanwhile, responders took the victim to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, but police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
