REEDLEY, CA (May 18, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a disastrous bicycle accident on Springfield Avenue and Justine Avenue injured 1 teen.

The Reedley Police Department revealed that the crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Moreover, the incident involving a bicycle and a truck happened on Springfield Avenue and Justine Avenue.

According to reports, a westbound white truck traveled on Springfield Avenue. However, the driver sideswiped a parked vehicle. Then, they veered and overcorrected which led him to overturn twice and struck the teenager on the bicycle.

Reports confirmed that as the teenager rode his bike on a sidewalk, the truck hit him.

Thus, responders airlifted him to the hospital with injuries. His identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.
