Diego Valencia Arrested Following DUI Overturned Crash on 5 Freeway Near Templin Highway

 
CASTAIC, CA (April 16, 2019) – A DUI rollover crash on the 5 South Freeway near Templin Highway left children injured Friday.
 
Around 7 p.m. First Responders received reports of a traffic collision involving an overturned car.
 
According to officials, a 2001 Toyota with children ranging from two to 10 years old inside struck a big rig. As a result of the impact, the Toyota overturned, seriously injuring its occupants.
 
Officials say everyone inside the Toyota suffered major injuries.
 
Following the accident, police arrested 38-year-old Diego Valencia. The Sylmar man was booked on charges of felony DUI causing injury, with a bail set at $50,000.
 
It is unclear how the events of the accident took place.
