Diego Cisneros Charged, Three Hurt after Longview Multi-Car Crash
LONGVIEW, WA (November 13, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries following a multi-car crash on 5 Freeway on Saturday, November 9.
Just after 5:30 a.m., officers rushed to the crash involving two cars and a semi-truck on northbound 5 Freeway near Exit 36.
Washington State Patrol said an investigation determined that a Honda Accord veered off the road. After that, it collided with a disabled semi-truck on the shoulder. As a result, the Honda came to stop in the left lane. It was struck by another vehicle, which came to a rest in the left median.
Vanessa Gonzales Hernandez, Valeria A. Hinojosa and Thang Q. Nguyen of Vancouver were all taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center to be treated for injuries, according to Washington State Patrol. However, all three are no longer at St. John Medical Center. It was unknown Saturday if they were sent to another hospital or treated and released.
Nguyen, 51, was driving the third vehicle that hit Cisneros’ car. Gonzales Hernandez, 20, and Hinojosa, 20, were passengers in Cisneros’ car.
WSP said the driver of the Honda, Diego A. Cisneros, 23, of Longview, faces a charge of driving under the influence. The Cowlitz County Prosecuting Attorney will still decide if Cisneros will face a charge of vehicular assault.
