Juvenile Killed in Redondo Beach Motorcycle Accident on Carnelian Street and Pacific Coast Highway

REDONDO BEACH, CA (January 11, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a devastating motorcycle crash on Carnelian Street and Pacific Coast Highway killed 1 person.

The incident happened at about 2:17 p.m. at the intersection of Carnelian Street and Pacific Coast Highway, said the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Officers identified the victim as a juvenile male. However, his name and age remained undisclosed.

Reports revealed that the motorcyclist headed south on Pacific Coast Highway. Then, it crashed with a sedan that was turning west onto Carnelian Street.

When officers arrived, they located the unresponsive biker lying on the street near the intersection.

Then, they took him to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the sedan driver, an adult woman, stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators.

Furthermore, the events leading up to the deadly crash remain unclear. Furthermore, neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash.

Also, roads near Pacific Coast Highway and Carnelian Street were shut down for the investigation but have since reopened.
