1 Dead in Williamson County Multi-Vehicle Accident on RM 1431 in Round Rock

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX (May 29, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, a devastating 4-vehicle crash on RM 1431 in Round Rock killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. on RM 1431 in Round Rock, Williamson County.

According to the Department of Public Safety (DPS), a westbound driver on RM-1431 allegedly made an “unsafe” lane change, leading to a multi-vehicle collision. 

The DPS spokesman reported that the driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a child passenger in the same vehicle was transported to the hospital. Also, another driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. 

Moreover, the two remaining drivers were not injured and were released from the scene. No additional details were provided as of Tuesday.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
