1 Dead in Compton Auto Accident on Greenleaf Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue

COMPTON, CA (April 10, 2024) – Sunday night, a devastating 2-vehicle crash on Greenleaf Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident happened at 11:42 p.m. on Greenleaf Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue in Compton.

Officers revealed that the crash led to the death of one person, another person suffered injuries while a third person managed to walk away uninjured.

Compton FD paramedics and LASD deputies both responded to the scene.

Upon their arrival, they found a pickup truck that had crashed with an unrecognizable sedan.

A sedan collided with a power pole, causing severe damage that made the car unrecognizable. Meanwhile, a pickup truck ended up on a sidewalk after the crash.

Sadly, one person inside the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s not clear whether the injured person was from the truck or the sedan.

Deputies were seen questioning a third man at the scene, but his involvement in the crash is still unknown.

The crash site has been cordoned off, with a large crime scene extending about a quarter-mile in all directions.
