1 Person Dead in Jasper County Auto Accident on County Road 80 and Oak Road
JASPER COUNTY, MO (August 25, 2024) – Friday morning, Destiny Jennings died in a fatal vehicle crash on County Road 80 and Oak Road.
The incident happened at around 10:00 a.m. on County Road 80 and Oak Road.
According to reports, a 2010 Ford Edge and a 2011 Toyota Sienna collided in the area for still unknown reasons.
Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Ford, identified as 22-year-old Jennings, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics airlifted a passenger of the Ford, identified as 23-year-old Christian Blevins, to Springfield, with serious injuries. Also, authorities confirmed that two children aboard the Ford sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, authorities reported that the driver of the Toyota, identified as 27-year-old Dany Mendez, sustained minor injuries while his passengers, identified as 37-year-old Alva Vasquez, and two little girls, ages 4 and two, all sustained serious injuries in the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Major Crash Investigation Unit continued to investigate the crash.
