DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (January 14, 2019) – A man lost his life after being struck by an SUV on North Indian Canyon Drive near 19th Avenue Friday evening.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. The Palm Springs Police Department said officers arrived at the scene to find a male subject down on the street. The unresponsive man died not too long after.
A preliminary investigation led authorities to believe that a silver Ford SUV was heading southbound on North Indian Canyon and struck the pedestrian who was walking in the street.
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role; however, an investigation of this crash is underway.
