1 Injured in Ventura County ATV Accident near Guiberson Road and Torrey Road
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (February 10, 2022) – On Sunday, authorities arrested a deputy following a DUI crash near Guiberson Road and Torrey Road.
According to CHP Officer Ryan Ayers, the incident happened on January 30 at around 5:11 a.m. Moreover, the incident occurred on unincorporated land north of Guiberson Road and west of Torrey Road.
Reports revealed that a Polaris RZR all-terrain vehicle lost control and rolled over into a field.
Moreover, a private party rushed a passenger of the ATV, a 54-year-old Fillmore man to Ventura County Medical Center with severe head trauma.
Meanwhile, authorities arrested the ATV driver, a 46-year-old off-duty Ventura County sheriff’s deputy in suspicion of DUI causing bodily injury. They booked the deputy into county jail and was later released on bond.
Furthermore, officials confirmed that the passenger of the ATV failed to wear a helmet and seatbelt at the time of the crash.
