Eileen Wood Killed after Crash on Houghton Road in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (January 12, 2024) – On Tuesday night, 69-year-old Eileen Wood died after a crash on Houghton Road.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department actively responded to a pedestrian-involved crash near Vail.
The crash occurred on Jan. 9 at approximately 7:19 p.m. in the 15000 block of South Houghton Road.
Upon arrival, deputies found 69-year-old Eileen Wood unresponsive and pronounced her dead.
The deputies reported that Wood and her husband were crossing Houghton Road in the dark when a car driving south on Houghton Road hit her.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
