2 Dead and 1 Injured after 2-Vehicle Crash on County Road 539 in Collin County
Collin County, TX (June 22, 2023) – On Thursday, two people died, and one other sustained injuries in a 2-vehicle crash on Country Road 539.
The fatal crash on County Road 539 and County Road 543 happened on June 22.
CCSO said the collision involved an SUV and a van. The van was turning onto CR 539 from CR 543 and disregarded a stop sign, leading to the collision with the SUV.
A passenger of the SUV was declared dead at the scene.
The SUV slid into a ditch after the impact and struck two construction workers. One of the construction workers died and the other sustained minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the van slid into a power pole after the crash.
The victims’ identities are being withheld until next of kin is notified.
Further investigation is ongoing.
