David Lopez Booked Into Jail After Hit-and-Run Crash Leaves Nearly a Dozen Cars Damaged
SAN MARCOS, CA (January 31, 2020) — Nearly a dozen vehicles at a South Twin Oaks Valley and Craven roads apartment complex were damaged in Thursday’s hit-and-run DUI crash.
According to a sergeant, David Allen Lopez left the scene after reportedly striking 11 parked vehicles at the Prominence Apartments complex. When deputies responded to the 2:00 a.m. crash, they found the 33-year-old’s vehicle significantly damaged with nearly a dozen others.
Moments later, deputies arrested Lopez at a nearby parking lot and brought him into custody. Officers subsequently booked him into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of hit-and-run, DUI and driving on a suspended license.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, no one sustained any injuries.
