David Dalmau Airlifted to Hospital After Grass Valley Motorcycle Crash
Grass Valley, CA (October 29, 2020) – On Tuesday, 34-year-old David Dalmau, of Grass Valley, was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Lower Colfax Road.
The incident was reported shortly after 11 a.m. near Karrys Place.
59-year-old Steele said Rebecca Schiros, of Hyampom, was driving the 4Runner northbound on Lower Colfax Road. Just then, she turned left directly into the path of the Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Dalmau.
As a result, the two vehicles crashed head-on with each other.
Dalmau was thrown from his motorcycle. He landed some distance from the point of impact.
The authorities air-lifted him to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with major injuries.
There is no update on Dalmau’s condition as of Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, authorities do not consider drugs, alcohol, and speed, to be a factor in this crash.
Practice safe driving habits on the road at all times… even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make a full and complete stop.
Aim high in steering. Don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
