Danny Chehaiber Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Gilman Drive Near La Jolla Village Drive

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 11, 2019) – A 32-year-old man lost his life in a motorcycle accident Tuesday morning on Gilman Drive near La Jolla Village Drive.
 
The motorcycle crash took place around 8 a.m. near UC San Diego. Per reports, an unidentified driver in an SUV collided with 32-year-old Danny Jay Chehaiber as he rode his motorcycle northbound on Gilman Drive’s bicycle lane.
 
Authorities believe the 2004 Toyota Highlander driver and Chehaiber collided as the SUV turned into a driveway while Chehaiber tried to pass slower-moving traffic.
 
Paramedics rushed the severely injured rider to Scripps Memorial hospital, but he never regained consciousness from his critical blunt force injuries. No one else suffered any known injuries.
 
As a result of this incident, the authorities are investigating this case further to determine the liabilities.
