1 Injured and 1 Arrested after Fiery Crash near Kansas Avenue
NAPA, CA (April 17, 2019) – Authorities arrested 30-year-old Daniel Ray Gonzalez of Napa following a hit-and-run crash on Soscol Avenue.
According to the Napa Police Department, an unspecified number of vehicles collided near Kansas Avenue, at about 11:50 PM.
Gonzalez did not stop after the crash and immediately fled the area. Officers later found his vehicle engulfed in flames, four blocks away from the scene.
As per reports, Gonzalez appeared to be intoxicated and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Officers arrested Gonzalez on suspicion of two felony charges related to driving under the influence and causing injury, and committing a hit-and-run causing injury. He was booked into the Napa County jail at about 12:30 AM.
Meanwhile, emergency responders transported a victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Further updates on the victim’s current condition were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
