INDIO, CA (October 24, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, Daniel Hernandez killed in a devastating motorcycle accident on Monroe Street.

The incident happened at 12:24 p.m. at the intersection of Monroe Street and San Jacinto Avenue, Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron said.

According to reports, the 24-year-old motorcyclist Hernandez of Thermal traveled on Monroe Street approaching San Jacinto Avenue.

Then, he crashed into the vehicle.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they located a man lying unresponsive on the roadway. Then, paramedics declared the rider dead at the scene at 12:35 p.m. Sunday.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
