Damariae Daniel Involved in Violent Vehicle Crash on Franklin Boulevard [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (February 13, 2024) On Sunday evening, 23-year-old Damariae Daniel surrendered after fleeing the scene of a vehicle crash on Franklin Boulevard that injured a young boy.

According to the sheriff’s office, the traffic collision happened around 10:15 p.m. on Franklin Boulevard at Brookfield Drive in south Sacramento.

Reports say that a vehicle, driven by Daniel made an illegal turn towards Brookfield Drive, and consequently crashing with a deputy’s K-9 patrol car that was driving through the intersection on a green light.

Authorities say that the impact of the collision pushed the vehicle towards a boy standing with his father on the corner. The boy suffered serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, the father, the deputy and the K-9 escaped injuries.

Meanwhile, Daniel, fled the scene on foot, but later turned himself in at the Sacramento County Main Jail.
