Pedestrian Dale Paulsen Fatally Struck by Emily Bales in Los Osos
LOS OSOS, CA (November 19, 2018) – The 67-year-old Los Osos man who was fatally struck by a DUI driver on Ramona Avenue near Mitchell Drive Sunday has been identified.
Dale Paulsen, of Los Osos, was the pastor of Morro Bay Presbyterian Church. According to reports, the 67-year-old man was walking in the 500 block of Ramona Avenue around 5:30 p.m. when he was run over by a Toyota pickup truck. He died shortly after.
The Toyota fled the scene but according to Sgt. Perry Heidebrink, a vehicle that matched the description of the car in pursuit was located and its driver was detained.
Emily Bales, 24, was identified as the hit-and-run motorist who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
Reports say she will be facing felony charges.
