Daiki Washington Dead, Several Injured in Acton Accident on 14 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 26, 2021) – Friday night, a two-vehicle crash killed 12-year-old Daiki Washington on the 14 Freeway near Crown Valley Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 11:05 p.m. northbound on the 14 Freeway, north of Crown Valley Road.
Reports revealed that a 2011 Honda Accord collided with the rear end of a 1999 Honda Accord. Then, the force of the crash caused the 1999 Accord to spin out of control. Eventually, it came into rest on the Nos. 1 and 2 of the northbound lanes.
Furthermore, responders transported 12-year-old Daiki Washington to Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, where he later died.
Also, paramedics confirmed that a 15-year-old boy in the vehicle sustained major injuries. Meanwhile, a 31-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman suffered minor injuries. Also, authorities transported all injured parties to Antelope Valley Hospital.
Moreover, officers also transported the 23-year-old driver of the 2011 Honda to Antelope Valley with minor injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP said that it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Later reports revealed the identities of those in the vehicle with Daiki at the time of the accident.
Passenger Dashawnna Lloyd, 33, and Daylyn Dashawn, 15, both of Palmdale, sustained injuries, and paramedics took them to Antelope Valley Hospital.
