Cyklali Alaniz Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Mecca on 70th Avenue
Mecca, CA (November 14, 2020) – On Thursday, 19-year-old Cyklali Alaniz died in a pedestrian accident on 70th Avenue, east of Cleveland Street.
The fatal Mecca accident happened at about 7 p.m., in the 97700 block area.
California Highway Patrol said the driver was moving westbound on 70th Avenue when he hit Alaniz with his car.
Immediately, the rescuers rushed the victim to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, where the authorities pronounced her dead an hour later.
Meanwhile, CHP continues to investigate the 70th Avenue incident. There was no update if an arrest has been made.
