38-Year-Old Marco Martinez Arrested in Poindexter Avenue Crash

 
Moorpark, CA (March 27, 2021) – On Tuesday, a 38-year-old Moorpark man was injured and police arrested 38-year-old Marco Martinez of Palm Springs in DUI hit-and-run crash on Poindexter Avenue.
 
Officers received the crash report at 6:02 a.m. on the 200 block area.
 
When the authorities arrived on the scene, they located the cyclist lying in the roadway.
 
Right away, rescuers transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of his minor injuries.
 
Apparently, he was riding westbound on Poindexter Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound.
 
Martinez, the suspect driver, did not stop at the scene.
 
Later on, officers found Martinez at the Sheriff’s headquarters in Ventura where here was detained.
 
Furthermore, Martinez showed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
 
Officers arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run, DUI, possessing drugs, and possessing paraphernalia. They booked him into county jail and have since been released with a pending court date.
