Leobardo Robledo Arrested after DUI Crash on Manchester Avenue
ANAHEIM, CA (July 26, 2019) – Five teenagers suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Manchester Avenue, late Friday evening.
According to the Anaheim Police Department, the incident happened near Orangewood Avenue, at about 11:45 PM. A black 2014 Dodge sedan, driven by 24-year-old Leobardo Robledo, ran a red light on southbound Manchester. There, it t-boned an eastbound black 2019 Honda Fit.
18-year-old Cristina Gaona remains fighting for her life with a severe brain injury and multiple fractures. Those who wish to assist Gaona’s family with their medical expenses can donate to her GoFundMe page.
Another Honda occupant, identified as 18-year-old Shadrach Diaz, suffered multiple fractures including his ribs and trachea, a puncture in his kidney, and internal bleeding. Diaz’s family also set up a GoFundMe page for further medical expenses.
Another victim, Kai Burke, remains in intensive care with a brain bleed. Meanwhile, the identities and conditions of other victims remain unknown.
Authorities arrested Robledo, the sole occupant of the Dodge, on suspicion of felony driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to recover soon.
