Cristian Sanchez Injured in Truck Crash on Highway 46 and Jardine Road [San Luis Obispo, CA]

1 Hospitalized in San Luis Obispo Accident on Highway 46 and Jardine Road

 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (September 21, 2021) – On Monday, Cristian Sanchez sustained injuries in a truck crash on Highway 46.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on Highway 46 and Jardine Road.
 
Reports revealed that a westbound 2019 Volkswagen MK VII crossed the westbound lanes. Then, it made a left turn from Jardine Road onto eastbound Highway 46. The Volkswagen driver, 44-year-old Cristian Sanchez of McFarland, saw a 2019 Freightliner pull out in front of him.
 
Thus, Sanchez attempted to avoid a collision, but to no avail. The front end of the Volkswagen collided with the Freightliner’s trailer.
 
Furthermore, responders transported Cristian Sanchez to a hospital with minor injuries. The Freightliner driver, 67-year-old Carlos Lomeli of Paso Robles sustained no injuries in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Also, the crash blocked a westbound lane of Highway 46 and the turn lane from eastbound Highway 46 to Jardine Road. All lanes have long since reopened.
