3 People Hurt in Houston Traffic Accident on Highway 288 near Belfort Avenue

HOUSTON, TX (May 29, 2023) – Saturday night, a crippling vehicle crash on Highway 288 near Belfort Avenue injured three people.

The incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on Highway 288 near Belfort Avenue.

According to reports, a white Expedition SUV traveling in an erratic manner collided with a Ford F-250 while exiting the highway. Then, the SUV struck a highway barrier before it came to rest.

Moreover, responders transported three occupants of the SUV, a teen with severe injuries, a male passenger with critical injuries, and the driver who was able to walk and is in stable condition, to a hospital for treatment.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that a gun was found at the scene.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.
