1 Person Hospitalized in Fresno Auto Accident on North Santa Fe Avenue and Herndon Avenue

FRESNO, CA (October 9, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling two-vehicle crash on North Santa Fe Avenue and Herndon Avenue injured one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of North Santa Fe Avenue and Herndon Avenue.

According to Fresno Police Lt. Charlie Chamalbide, a vehicle veered into another lane and collided with a second vehicle. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to overturn for more than 100 yards.

As a result, paramedics rushed the male driver of the overturned vehicle to Community Regional Medical Center with several lost fingers but in stable condition.

Moreover, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Fresno Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
