1 Person Hospitalized in El Dorado Auto Accident on Pleasant Valley Road near Oak Dell Road

EL DORADO, CA (April 25, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Pleasant Valley Road near Oak Dell Road injured one person.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Pleasant Valley Road, east of Oak Dell Road.

According to CHP officer Andrew Brown, a Dodge Ram truck struck a 17-year-old boy for still unknown reasons.

Paramedics airlifted the victim to a regional trauma center with major injuries.

The California Highway Patrol confirmed that the incident happened during school hours, about one-half mile from Union Mine High School and one-quarter mile from Charles Brown Learning Academy.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
