Injuries Reported in Laredo Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 359 and Oil Patch Road
LAREDO, TX (May 26, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a crippling hit-and-run crash on Highway 359 and Oil Patch Road injured 7 people.
The incident involving four vehicles occurred at about 5:00 p.m. on Highway 359 and Oil Patch Road.
When they arrived, they found several people hurt.
A 19-year-old male driver is currently in police custody after an incident that resulted in multiple injuries. Despite the circumstances, the young driver refused medical treatment at the scene.
Four individuals, including a 59-year-old woman and three children aged 14, 12, and 9, were transported to Doctors Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
Meanwhile, a 63-year-old woman and a 1-year-old girl, both complaining of back pain, were taken to Laredo Medical Center (LMC) for further evaluation. A 32-year-old pregnant woman experiencing abdominal pain was also taken to LMC.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
