Afternoon Head-On Collision on Highway 138 in Crestline Injures Small Boy
CRESTLINE, CA (February 17, 2019) – A child was injured following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon in Crestline.
The crash happened just before 4:00 p.m. on Highway 138 at Old Mill Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver Toyota Prius and black Chevrolet Silverado collided head-on for unknown reasons. One of vehicles was disabled when it was hit by the other.
A small boy reportedly hit his head from the crash and was bleeding. An ambulance unit was immediately dispatched to the scene and took the child to a hospital.
The extent of injuries sustained and the condition of the patient were not immediately known.
Both vehicles were towed away from the crash site.
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
