Cresencio Carrasco Dies in Pedestrian Crash Near Grapefruit Boulevard and 62nd Avenue

 
THERMAL, CA (December 31, 2018) – A 39-year-old pedestrian from Coachella died Thursday after being struck by a train near Grapefruit Boulevard and 62nd Avenue.
 
Cresencio Carrasco, of Coachella, was the 39-year-old victim who died at the scene according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau. The incident happened around 11:11 a.m. and drew firefighters and deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department to the scene.
 
Reports say Carrasco died 15 minutes after being hit. The incident is under investigation as authorities are still unsure how this incident happened.
