Luis Perez Perez Arrested, Two People Hospitalized after Crash on Stony Point Road in Santa Rosa
Santa Rosa, CA (March 17, 2023) – On Friday, several people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Stony Point Road and College Avenue.
Subsequently, police arrested the suspected driver, 24-year-old Luis Perez Perez.
The crash on Stony Point Avenue in Santa Rosa happened on March 17.
SRPD said the collision involved four vehicles. Perez Perez was driving in a gray Honda north on Stony Point Road approaching College Avenue before crashing into three vehicles that were stopped in traffic.
Medical personnel treated several people injured during the accident, two of which were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said Perez Perez showed indications of intoxication and left the area on foot. After conducting a DUI investigation, officers eventually located Perez Perez, 24, on Jennings Avenue, just east of Marlow Road.
Currently, Perez Perez was arrested and booked into Sonoma County Jail for felony driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content over .08%, and hit and run with injury.
