Bakersfield, CA (March 29, 2024) – Officials cleared the traffic after launching two medivacs for at least two individuals injured in a crash on Interstate 5 near Rowlee Road on Friday morning. 

The CHP’s website reports that the incident occurred around 10:11 a.m. on southbound I-5 near Rowlee Road. 

According to CHP, a sedan and an unknown vehicle were involved in the crash, with one vehicle ending up approximately 50 to 100 yards off the roadway. 

The website mentions that the crash ejected a child, causing a head injury. Around 10:30 a.m., a medivac took off, as noted on the website. 

To facilitate the medivac, authorities temporarily halted traffic. They launched a second medivac as well. 

The cause of the crash and the total number of people injured remain unknown.
