Clovis, CA (March 21, 2024) – On Thursday, a man sustained a head injury after a crash on Gettysburg Avenue.

Reportedly, a commercial truck hit a man at a Clovis gas station on Thursday, resulting in his hospitalization with a head injury, according to the Clovis Police Department.

Officers arrived at the scene of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in the afternoon at a gas station located at the intersection of Gettysburg and Willow Avenues.

The incident occurred when a commercial truck entered the parking lot while a pedestrian was present. 

The truck’s driver, failing to notice the pedestrian, collided with him.

Authorities transported the pedestrian to a local hospital with a head injury. 

The truck driver stayed at the scene, and officers have stated that they do not suspect alcohol and/or drugs to be a factor in the collision.
