9-Year-Old Girl Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Two-Car Wreck in Compton
COMPTON, CA (January 31, 2019) – A 9-year-old girl was hospitalized Friday in a hit-and-run broadside collision on East Artesia Boulevard near Delta Avenue.
The Friday crash happened when a driver in a Dodge Charger pulled out of the Compton College parking lot and broadsided a 2002 Ford Expedition on Artesia Boulevard. A 9-year-old girl in the Ford Expedition was ejected after the vehicle overturned several times.
The Dodge Charger was left behind at the scene and its driver fled.
Deputies are now asking the public to help identify the driver of the Dodge Charger whose license plates say “CA/ELDOGRS”. Those with information are urged to call Compton Sheriff’s Station Traffic Unit Investigators, Detective Wilson or Traffic Sergeant Thomas at (310) 605-3516.
