Cindy Oropeza-Soto Dead, David Rostrosolis Detained in DUI Crash on Domenigoni Parkway Near Lindenberger Road
MENIFEE, CA (January 29, 2019) – Sunday morning’s DUI rollover crash on Domenigoni Parkway near Lindenberger Road claimed a woman’s life.
Cindy Oropeza-Soto was the 25-year-old Hemet woman whom firefighter-paramedics found sitting, partially ejected and unrestrained, in the backseat of a significantly wrecked vehicle. She was rushed to Inland Valley Regional Medical Center, where she died at 8:29 a.m., about four hours after the devastating event.
David Alejandro Rostrosolis, 23, was the driver of the vehicle who was subsequently arrested after authorities learned he was under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of gross vehicle homicide and DUI resulting in bodily injury.
Officers responded to the 4:30 a.m. crash to find the vehicle overturned on its side and facing the wrong way on Domenigoni Parkway. Based on evidence at the scene, investigators believe Rostrosolis was steering the car eastbound on Domenigoni Parkway, fell asleep and struck the center median, which caused the car to overturn.
An investigation of this deadly crash is underway.
