1 Person Dead in Fort Smith Bicycle Accident on Grand Avenue
FORT SMITH, AR (February 23, 2022) – Saturday night, Christopher West died in a hit-and-run crash on Grand Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 8:00 p.m. on Grand Avenue.
Reports revealed that a leg was found at around 7:00 a.m. Then, authorities reviewed surveillance video that revealed a pickup truck hitting a bicyclist. Officers believed that the force of the crash threw the victim into the truck bed of the pickup.
Moreover, investigators went to the home of the truck owner. Then, they recovered the dead cyclist, 57-year-old Christopher West, at the pickup truck bed.
