Kids Hurt in Crash on East 21st Street, Police Arrest Amy Saetern
Merced, CA (April 03, 2021) – On Wednesday, two kids were injured while police arrested 21-year-old Amy Saetern of Merced in a DUI crash on East 21st Street.
The accident took place at 8:21 p.m. in the 300 block area.
When officers arrived at the scene, they determined Saetern was under the influence of alcohol while driving. Also, she performed poorly on the standard field sobriety tests.
Furthermore, there were two children in her car, ages 3 and 4.
Both children incurred minor head and facial trauma and were rushed to the emergency room for medical care.
Luckily, both of the kids are in stable condition.
Meanwhile, officers didn’t say if Saetern, who was unhurt, is related to the children.
They booked her into the Merced County Jail on charges of felony driving under the influence and felony child endangerment.
Similarly, her bail was set at $400,000.
