Children Among 7 Hurt in Soledad Solo-Car Crash
SOLEDAD, CA (March 26, 2019) – Five children and two adults suffered injuries following Monday’s single-car accident on Highway 101 near Camphora Gloria Road.
According to Mike Morlan with Cal Fire, an SUV crashed into the highway’s center divider around 10:32 a.m.
Two adults and five children occupied the SUV at the time. According to police, some children – ages 6 months to 11 years old – failed to properly use a seatbelt.
As a result of the accident, five air ambulance helicopters airlifted several of the victims to nearby hospitals. In addition, two ground ambulances transported the outstanding patients to nearby hospitals and trauma centers.
Authorities investigating the ultimate cause of this crash are asking witnesses to come forward.
