Car Strikes, Injures Child in Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA, CA (July 8, 2019) – Paramedics brought a child to a hospital Saturday after a driver struck the 3-year-old near Newhall Ranch Road and McBean Parkway.
According to reports, the youth wandered off from its parents as they loaded groceries into the car. A driver, traveling at a slow rate of speed in the Bridgeport Marketplace, subsequently struck the child.
Paramedics arrived in the 24000 block of Newhall Ranch Road to airlift the 3-year-old to a hospital as a precaution. Per Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the child appears to be in OK condition and suffered only abrasions.
Following the accident, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. The circumstances and liabilities of this crash are pending.
