Charles Price Dead, Dylan Leiter Involved in Crash on Buena Vista Street
Taft, CA (December 3, 2020) – On Tuesday, 67-year-old Edward Price died, and 23-year-old Tiffany Fuentes was injured in a motorcycle accident on Buena Vista Street and Naylor Street.
The fatal Taft crash happened at about 1:30 A.M.
Apparently, Price was traveling southbound on Naylor Street at a fast speed when he entered the intersection.
Price crashed with a Honda Accord driven by 22-year-old Dylan Leiter, also from Taft.
As a result, he was ejected from his motorcycle. Police said he was wearing a helmet but it came off during the crash.
Rescuers flew Price to Kern Medical.
Meanwhile, Leiter did not get uninjured from the crash. Her passenger, Fuentes, sustained a minor injury. Rescuers did not take Fuentes to a hospital.
Drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in this Taft crash.
Furthermore, CHP said, “this collision is a stark reminder that when approaching an uncontrolled intersection the speed limit is 15 MPH when you can’t see 100 feet in both directions of the intersecting roadway,”
We extend our sympathies to the family and friends grieving the death of Charles Price.
