CAZADERO, CA – Man Killed in Rollover Crash at Bohan Dillon Road and Fort Ross Road

Katie Wilmore Badly Injured in Deadly Rollover Crash on Bohan Dillon Road in Cazadero

 
CAZADERO, CA (April 6, 2019) – A man was killed and a woman was badly injured following a rollover crash Saturday morning in Cazadero.
 
The fatal crash was reported just after 11:00 a.m. at Bohan Dillon Road and Fort Ross Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 1997 Dodge pickup truck was traveling northbound on Bohan Dillon Road when for unknown reasons, it veered to the left and into a dirt road. The vehicle went down about 800 feet embankment and landed on its roof.
 
The man driving the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His female passenger, identified as a 29-year-old Katie Wilmore of Cazadero, was able to climb up a ravine and onto a nearby dirt road.
 
CHP officials said Wilmore waited on the deserted street for help but it is believed that she laid near the roadway until someone spotted her.
 
When first responders arrived, Wilmore was airlifted to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of major injuries.
 
Both the driver and the passenger were not wearing their seat belts and were ejected from the vehicle.
 
The name of the man has yet to be released. Any inquiries regarding his identification should contact the Sonoma County Coroner’s office.
 
It is unclear what caused the crash but weather may have been a factor. Further investigation is underway.
