Man Hit, Killed by Driver in Cathedral City
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (November 29, 2018) – A 50-year-old man lost his life Monday evening following a pedestrian crash on Ramon Road near Crossley Road.
Authorities are warning the public about the dangers of jaywalking and unsafe road crossing during evening hours.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. when the 50-year-old pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a minivan. The victim was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he died shortly after.
The driver remained at the scene and was questioned by authorities, who later determined that the driver was not at fault.
